Our Process
You will be given an estimate of what we will be doing, at your request, to the firearm(s). At the bottom of the estimate are the “Terms”.
Please read them!
We expect this process will take about 15 minutes for us to understand your complaint(s) and / or problem(s) with the firearm(s), conceptualize what must be addressed and generate the associated hard copy estimate with a description of the services you agree to have us perform.
Remember, if I am talking I am not working on a firearm! So I try to balance the two. I want to be helpful to you yet I must meet my delivery obligations to customers that have trusted CSF with their work.
You can help maximize the outcome of your visit by knowing, generally, what you want me to do or what you think is wrong with your firearm and articulate that to me concisely.
You will be provided a timeline for the services you have authorized CFS to performed. Law Enforcement Personnel have a priority position in their requested work.
Please keep in mind that many of the manufacturers we will deal with do not adhere to the same level of Customer commitment we do.
As such we will notify you directly in the event a timeline has changed and why the change was needed.
You can expect a Professional Gunsmith to execute the diagnosis, the repair and the testing of all functions of the gun.
That’s what you are paying for!
You get a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
Not happy bring it back for a mutually acceptable resolution, immediately.
Your Satisfaction is our yardstick to success.
Appropriate Parts – The parts that we use to repair any worn, broken or suspect parts will be obtained in the following order of priority:
Warrantee Part(s): (Warrantee available for your parts)
If we suspect or know that a part or the firearm is under any kind of factory warrantee, we will investigate this to the best of our ability and deal with the manufacturer directly. Acquire the part and complete the service(s).
General Parts Acquisition (No warrantee available for your parts):
First, we will make all efforts to acquire any parts needed for repair or for Preventive Maintenance (PM) from the specific OEM supplier (i.e. S&W, Colt).
Second, we will seek after market or NOS parts from nationally recognized suppliers for repairs or PM.
Third, used parts that originate from nationally recognized suppliers will be our last effort at parts acquisitioning. We do not like to use this category of parts as they are often worn and not in much better shape than the original parts we are working with.
We will not fabricate any part(s) as there is liability in that effort for CFS. Our insurance company would not approve!
